TCAL was founded in 1991 by Dr. Gilbert Perez. Texas Christian Athletic League is a governing body for the Christian, Catholic, Private, Charter and Homeschool groups of Texas and other States. TCAL is a proud member of the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and follows their guidelines for our most of our governance. Regional Chairpeople, made up of member Athletic Directors, Coaches, and/or Administrators, initiate schedules and oversee our schools in the four regions of the State. Coaches throughout the League comprise our various
committees that govern our activities, our alignments, as well as our classifications. TCAL will be expanding and adding THE Christian Athletic League as a National Organization that serves schools throughout America who are interested in competing with and against some of the best programs in America.
